Outreach Ministry

 

 

This is our chance…

To reach beyond the four walls in which we sit Sunday after Sunday.  One of the desires of Center City Church is that God would continue to grant us the opportunity to reach the hurting and broken people of our city. 

 

Through outreach, we are called to bring hope to a hopeless generation and

... release His Kingdom throughout Greensboro.

 

"Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth (Greensboro) as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10

Sunday Breakfast

Because we are located in the heart of downtown, we have the awesome opportunity to minister to the homeless.  Each Sunday we provide a HOT BREAKFAST to the homeless starting at 7am.  We need volunteers- not only to help prepare and serve food, but to also pray and minister to those that come.  Contact Krista Ritter if you're interested in helping 339-3387.

Furniture Ministry:  This ministry provides free furniture to families moving out of Pathway's Family Shelter.  We are able to  bless people that otherwise wouldn't have the means to buy much needed household items.

 

Bag ladies for Jesus:  This is a lunch bag ministry, started by two ladies moved to compassion by the homeless and hungry out on the streets.  This ministry is touching lives in our city...one lunch at a time.

 

Pathways Family Shelter: We have been helping people at the local family shelter since 2005. Once a month, a team of volunteers serve dinner to the families living at the shelter.

 

Community Events: Through large events throughout the year, such as the July 4th block party, the Christmas parade, etc., we are able to reach people with the Love of Christ.

 

Prophetic Evangelism:  Come out one Saturday and be part of the prophetic evangelism team.  This is where we take Matthew 10:7&8 to the streets:

"As you go, preach this message: The kingdom of heaven is near.  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons.  Freely you have received, freely give."  Matthew 10: 7&8
